South African memory trainer and speaker
Kevin Horsley is a South African memory trainer and speaker. In his book he says that dyslexia made reading hard for him at school, and that he began to train his memory seriously only after he left school.
He went on to compete in memory sport. He holds the title International Grandmaster of Memory and has won medals at the World Memory Championships. He has twice set the world record for a pi memory test known as the Everest of memory tests. He set the second record in 2013 at the Vaal campus of North-West University in South Africa.
Unlimited Memory (2014) teaches the methods he used. It argues that most people have an ordinary memory because nobody taught them how to use it. The book explains how to concentrate, how to turn facts into vivid images, and how to link those images to places and to what you already know. He works as a speaker and trainer for companies.
